ComForCare CEO Named to HCAOA Board

ComForCare CEO Steve Greenbaum has been named to the Home Health Care Association of America’s (HCAOA) Board of Directors. That’s great news for ComForCare in-home care franchise owners, who will benefit from the elevation such a high-profile engagement provides the brand.

“As the need for home care increases, and on behalf of a rapidly growing ComForCare organization across North America, I look forward to representing our collective experience on the front lines of this industry and joining my fellow HCAOA board members to allow all those who want to age safely in place at home to have that opportunity,” Greenbaum said when his appointment was announced.

NATIONAL ORGANIZATION VALUES COMFORCARE’S EXPERTISE

The HCAOA is a trade association for the in-home care industry. It represents thousands of companies combining to employ more than 500,000 workers across the United States. Greenbaum brings a wealth of experience to his HCAOA duties, having previously served as the chairman of the International Franchise Association’s education foundation and as the overall association’s chairman of the board.

“When Steve becomes involved with a board, he works to ensure that everyone understands what the members want and need,” said Phil LeBlanc, vice president of franchise development. “In this case, he’ll be working to make sure that the voices of ComForCare in-home care franchise owners are heard, and that they have meaningful ways to collaborate with the HCAOA as a whole.”

COMFORCARE FRANCHISE OWNERS BENEFIT FROM ASSOCIATION TIES

Forging those kinds of ties builds brand awareness and presence at the national level. That migrates down to local markets where ComForCare franchise owners and their caregivers are providing valuable services, making potential clients aware of them and helping to build business.

“If someone reads about ComForCare in a national news story, and they or a family member is in need of in-home care, they are likely to see if we are in their market,” LeBlanc explained. “They’ll seek us out, and when that happens it is much easier for the franchise owner to offer the unique, customizable services that individual may be looking for.”

ComForCare is a successful, multifaceted business offering peace of mind and improved quality of life for aging adults and their families by providing support with everyday tasks, and holistic care enhancement programs such as Joyful Memories®, an interactive singalong activity that uses the power of music to create connections and positive outlets for emotional expression.

Lori Vrcan, Franchisee of Charlotte, South Carolina, previously worked with a national senior living community as a sales and marketing manager. In that position, she was most impressed with her interactions with CarePatrol. Each client referred was pre-qualified and a good fit for the senior living community in terms of needs, budget and personal interests. After she and her husband Todd did further research, they decided not only would buying a CarePatrol franchise be a great investment, but it was a meaningful change and the opportunity to work together and help seniors.
